Anyone here have experience of the Proxxon MOF Micro Router? - precision collets, 130 watt (1/5 hp), 27,500 rpm. Attachment: proxxon router.jpg I'm thinking of maybe using this with a Wells/Karol circle jig. |

Well, I don't know what those stats mean, but it looks even less powerful than a dremel. I know I want to upgrade to a laminate trimmer for rosettes. Tired of nursing the dremel... |

I have an old PC and a Makita and neither one of them has a good micro adjust height base. That seems to be the bane of lamiate trimmers. Only one I see as working is a larger DeWalt with radial groove in the plastic (?) housing... Don't mind the slow work of the Stew-Mac rosette cutter myself because it has a micro adjust height, but if I were to ever switch, I probably would go to a drill press type fly cutter and a VG drill press. |

The Ridgid's have an excellent micro adjust. I want a setup that I can use with it... |

I use one for all my rosette work, way better than dremel. I was using a bosh lam router before but love the Proxxion. It's important to me to be able to use the 1/8" in multi faceted router bits. They never tearout or do anything bad. I realize I could simply get a 1/8" collet for the bosh but the proxxion is just right for the job. |
